There are lots of organisations that you can contact if you are concerned about your own, or someone else's drinking.

Drinkline is the National Alcohol helpline. You can call this free helpline, in complete confidence, 24 hours a day. They can put you in touch with your local alcohol advice centre for help and advice. Call 0800 876 6776.

  • Kenward Trust

    Kenward Trust run free alcohol clinics in Tonbridge & Malling – for details contact 01732 370413, email enquiry@wealdencentre.org.uk or look at www.kenwardtrust.org.uk

    Kenward Trust also run the Alcohol Support Programme for young people aged 10 – 17 years old who have been involved in an alcohol related incident or have been identified as being vulnerable to an alcohol problem. Schools, parents and young people can all refer to the programme. For more details contact 01622 817820.

  • West Kent NHS Helpline

    The West Kent NHS Helpline can help you to find details of your nearest alcohol support services. Call them on freephone 0800 0 850 850.

  • Women's Support Service

    Provide help and support for women affected by partners and ex partners who use frightening and abusive behaviour. Contact: 01622 761146

  • St Giles Trust

    Run the Community Domestic Abuse Programme for perpetrators of domestic abuse. This is a free 27 week programme designed to support men make the changes they need to develop respectful, non-abusive relationships.

    ADFAM offers information and advice for families of alcohol and drug users. The website has a list of local family support services.

    Offers support and understanding to the families and friends of problem drinkers, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not. Confidential helpline 020 740 30 888, open 10am to 10pm.

    Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary fellowship of men and women who help each other achieve and maintain sobriety by sharing experiences and giving mutual support. Regular weekly meetings are held in all parts of Britain.

    Alcohol Concern is the national agency on alcohol misuse for England and Wales. It offers general information about alcohol and can help put you in touch with your nearest alcohol advice centre.
